The plains depicted in this card literally looks like places in Wyoming and Utah that I've actually been to. I will say this, it's really boring there. The flat monotony of the landscape and the dry air gets to me after a while.
I don't know how I feel about Plains or where the power is.
The great open expanse, limited resources....I guess it is difficult for armies to travel across.
So if you have a fortress or a walled city, it might be a good idea to surround it with miles of plains. Armies attacking you will be tired before they even reach your city limits.
The Temple of The False God has a lot to do with the plains. I'll devote an entire blog entry to that eventually.
'Little House on The Prairie' took place on the Plains.
'The Misfits', the last movie with Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable, was a plains movie.
Cowboys live on the plains. The Wild West is on the plains.
Plains can be part desert.
Usually, the plains are wide open flat spaces.
A lot of people have 'plains' energy. Some of them are from the mid-west. Some of them are from California.
People from New York don't have a lot of Plains energy, lol. Just not their bag.
In 'Midnight Cowboy' with Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, a plains person who can't spell enters the city. It's not a good mix.
I've never been too interested in rodeos or Western imagery or movies. It kind of bores the bleep out of me, except when it has something to do with rock-a-billy music. Then I'm interested.
Anyway, 'The Plains of David' will be a blog about Plains stuff. I know almost too much about the plains....scary. I was raised L.D.S., so I am all screwed up about every thing.
